Blogging is a passion for many people these days. But most of them don’t succeed in getting a good traffic on their site or earning good from it.
No, I am not discouraging you!
But telling a fact.
Now tell me, would you like to be alone in this World Wide Web if no person is visiting your blog and even nobody knows the existence of your blog?
No problem comes without a solution.
Same with this problem also.
I have seen many friends asking me that their blog has grown old but still no good response regarding visitors. They are not even able to understand for NO TRAFFIC in their blog.
And this is enough to demotivate a person from further continuing his/her passion for blogging.
Mostly the traffic doesn’t materialize, and the blog fades away and dies.
So, today I decided to tell you few reasons that may affect your blog from getting a good number of visitors.
Here you go:
As a blogger, you already know that “Content is King.”
So, if your King is not powerful enough, then how can he rule the World Wide Web?
So, I suggest you write unique, fresh and error-free contents for your blog. Put some creativity in your writing style. Nobody will bother to care about your blog if it’s just another blog on the Web.
Also, your blog post should be relevant to the niche and title. Relevancy is very essential to hold the visitors and keep them returning again.
So, let your mind be fully creative while selecting a topic and writing.
As you keep on promoting your blog, you will soon find how good it’s going now.
Backlinks are essential, no doubt.
But that doesn’t mean you can have a backlink from any site possible. There may be few spammy links on your site, maybe from some porn sites, that will affect the visitors in your blog.
Whenever you look for backlinks, just have a few good ones.
Or else, you will end up with spammy links getting no visitors.
Ads, ads Everywhere, no post to see
Tell me, if you visit one site, and for finding the content part you need to spend some time as the site is filled up with loads of advertisements, then would you like to stay on the site?
Who has the time to search the content part of a blog from the ocean of advertisements?
Well, probably you too won’t have. So why make this mistake while creating your own blog?
Your readers need a good reading experience, user-friendly navigations, content part free from any clutter of advertisement. So if you are giving them all these, then you will grow. But if you miss any one of the points, then definitely you are going to miss the chunk of potential visitors who are searching the same topic that you already wrote.
Poor, rather horrible site design
As we know, good looks attract the eyes. This is relevant for blogs also.
If your blog looks too shabby with a very poor design, or the colors used are too bright that will not soothe the eyes, then probably you are going to lose visitors. Now I am not telling you to get a good looking paid theme. Free themes also work well. But you need to search for some time to get a good free theme for your blog.
If you have time for writing a good post to attract the readers, then I think you can spend at least some time before you start your blog in finding themes.
you aren't sharing Socially
We, humans, are a social animal. And with the development of social media, we became more social. Now, we even get to know what our friend is cooking overseas, or where he/she is spending his vacation.
You will be amazed to see the data on how 74% of American users use Social media daily
So, if you are spending such a huge time in social media, and if such a huge number of people worldwide is spending time in social media, then don’t you think it can be a powerful tool to promote your blog to the worldwide readers?
So, if you are not giving proper time on your blog for social media sharing, then probably you are going to miss a good traffic.
are you not focusing on any keyword
Finding proper keywords is very important to get a good number of visitors on your blog. If you use good keywords, that may have high search volume but low competition, then probably you are going to attract visitors worldwide who is searching for your keyword.
And if you are not using the proper keywords, then this may be a reason for the failure of your blog and not getting visitors.
you are using headlines that suck
As a blogger, probably you know how to write a good title making your post viral. But if you are not aware, then you need to learn the tricks of writing a good title to attract readers.
Your post title is the first impression of your blog to the readers. So try spending time on creating a catchier title, rather than writing at random whatever comes in your mind.
A good title is a doorway to the readers’ mind.
are you posting frequently?
Suppose you found a good blog with amazing content quality, amazing site design and fulfilling every point that attracted you to check the posts on the first day.
Now on the second day, you wished to check what more is updated on the blog. But you found nothing. Same thing a third day, fourth day and fifth day. And on the sixth day, you found one update.
Now tell me, would you have the patience to check the blog for 6-7 days daily to see if it has got updated?
Similarly, if you are not posting frequently, this may be another reason for not getting a good volume of traffic to your site.
If you are not getting visitors to your site, but you don’t want your blog to die, then definitely you need to make some improvements.
Reasons for getting no traffic on your blog is pretty simple, and thankfully the solutions too are too simple.
So work hard on the problems, and probably you are going to rock. But remember, content marketing is a marathon, not a sprint. So it will take some time and not just overnight effort.
